017 - [Action/Voice]

[There's a body lying on the edge of the riverbank. Slowly, her hand moves and claws at the ground, causing her finger marks to mold into the mud. Just as slowly, she manages to push herself up to a sitting position, and then she's got her hand to her head.]

Ow, my head...

Though I expected that wouldn't have much of an effect on you. Still, it was kind of fun all the same.

*He clenches one fist, slowly reaching back before pulling the knife out of his back without so much as wincing.* So I'm just an annoyance to you? Has that been the case all along?

Well, not all along. I honestly did like you. But you see, the drums ask for blood, and I don't have a choice but to give it to them.

Besides, I think it's a bit fun.

[She pulls a knife out from her sleeve. The same one that was usually attached to her belt, and spins it around between her fingers.]

You... *His hands start to tremble and a thin, red aura forms around him as his temper flares up* Why does this always happen to me?

[Jenny stands there calmly, not really bothered by it. Though she can sense the power coming off of him.]

[As she says the final word, she throws her knife hard and fast towards where his left lung would be with perfect aim.]

*No time to really dodge and a Red Dragon would probably hit Jenny, so he holds up his left hand over his chest and takes the knife in that, wincing as he sees the blade poke through the back of his hand. No more two handed gunslinging until he has time to get that to stop bleeding...* Don't make me hurt you, Jenny.

*He tosses the knife that was in his back into a tree and pulls the other one out of his hand* I've had enough of killing people close to me... *He drops the second knife to the ground and draws a gun* But that doesn't mean I won't if that's what it takes to bring you to your senses.

[Her stance changes slightly to one that's prepared for whatever he's going to throw at her.]

*Which is why he's gonna try something unexpected. He swings his arm down diagonally* Ether Drive! *A little bit of will to go with that motion and phrase and he calls a bunch of ice crystals into being right where Jenny is standing.*

[She'll be doing a quick backwards flip just before the ice appears so she can avoid it. Him saying Ether drive was a good hint for to move quickly.]

Ether drive! *He repeats the arm motion and raceway style arrows appear in a circle around him, racing around briefly before vanishing as he takes off at much higher speed than normal, jumping up to try and get a point blank shot to one of her limbs.*

[And she can't see him now, but she can still sense him, so she'll be moving fast, jumping to grab a branch above her, she'll be stealthily climbing that tree faster then anyone should be able to, managing to blend into it at the same time. She's using it for cover.]
