I can come to your place if you'd like, or you could come to mine if you need a change of scenery. I'm on the top floor of building 4, room 22.

You can come by here if you like. I really want to keep an eye out for my kidnapped housemate, so I think it best I stay around the area in case he comes back.

I'm in house 36.

I'll be there soon.

[And true to her word, Quistis shows up at house 36 a few minutes later, looking pretty librarian-like in her glasses. She's brought her own canister of tea leaves because she isn't sure whether Jenny has any, as well as stopped by the bakery for some rolls. She always comes prepared.

There's a knock on the door.] Jenny? Are you all right?

[Jenny opens the door, still obviously quite depressed, but she puts on a smile anyway.]

Yeah, I'm alright. It's just always sad when people you care about are gone.

From:

It is, especially when you don't know where they are.

[Quistis holds up the tea and rolls.] Maybe something hot will help you?

From:

[She'll take the tea, but she's going to leave the rolls.]

Perhaps.

From:

[She isn't too sure what to do with Jenny, since she doesn't know her that well. But Jenny had been friendly and could use some companionship, so she'd come and would try to be supportive and encouraging.]

I'm still not entirely sure of the... rules and effects of this place. But if your friend was kidnapped, then he'll be back, right? Shaken, maybe, or hurt, but he'll be back. And we can put him right again. [Be confident, yes. Calm and confident helps people keep their heads.]

Oh, I know he'll be back. I think the thing that's really bothering me is that Rose was sent home. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she doesn't have to stay in this place, but it's still sad to think that I'm probably never going to see her again.

[She goes to the kitchen and pulls a teapot out of one of the cabinets.] Here you are. This should do.

You've got a point. In the long run it's better that they be sent back, but that means not being able to see them . . .

From:

Exactly. That's the sad part of it. And I know with Rose, even I go back, I'm not going to get to see her again.

From:

Not going to see her again, huh.

From:

No, not unless she's here. Rose is stuck in an alternate dimension and different time from myself back home.

From:

Not quite what I was thinking, but I can see how that would be a problem.

Yeah. We also can't travel between the dimensions without creating a rift, and that quite dangerous.

[But she's not going to say anything about traveling through time, cause that's totally possible.]

Sounds troubling. I guess, when it boils down to it, Luceti offers everyone some things you can't get in our places.

Exactly. But that's why it's kind of sad too. You don't want anyone you care about to be stuck here, but at the same time, you want them to be around.

It's a lot more complicated than it seems at first, for certain. There's the bad, but there's also the good.
