mydadsthedoctor: (brilliant!)
[personal profile] mydadsthedoctor
You know, with all these people about, I've got this odd feeling that this has all happened before, but I can't quite remember it. How strange.

But hello everyone!

[Jenny is hanging out outside of house #16, picking up a mess of glass that a certain someone caused via going through the window. Why do people have to keep destroying the house?]

[Appearing around a corner]

Oi! Jenny! Maybe you can tell me what's going on. Or you can tell me where I am?

[Notices glass]

Well, first, what happened here?

From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
Oh, one of my housemates jumped through the- [Wait a minute, she knows that voice.]

...Donna? [She turns around in an instant, and the most brilliant smile comes to her face.]

OH MY GOD! DONNA! [Have a Jenny giving you a BIG HUG as if she hasn't seen you in forever, cause she hasn't.]

From: [identity profile] times-supertemp.livejournal.com
[Manages to catch herself before she stumbles from the hug]

Oi. Calm down! What's this for? I just saw you yesterday...Of course, I was somewhere different yesterday.

So, that begs the question.

Where are we?

Date: 2009-12-19 05:29 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
[Yeah, that bright smile is not fading.]

You might have seen me yesterday, but it's been over a year since I've seen you, Donna.

This is Luceti. You could say it's a place that's outside time and space, or that was dad's theory when he was here anyway.

[Looks confused]

But how... I don't think I'll ever understand how all this works.

Outside time and space? But how is that possible, and how did you and I get here?

Date: 2009-12-19 05:53 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
Well, the time and space part is just a theory, so I'm not sure if that's true or not, but it's obvious that time runs a little differently here. People are constantly being taken from different worlds and times and brought here to Luceti. We originally thought that it was because of these scientists called the Malnosso, but it looks like it's not them after all.

[Oh yes, she's her father's daughter alright, because she just said that quite fast.]

Slow down a bit. Oi, you're as bad as the Doctor...

So, what you're telling me is... people just show up here, and no one has any idea why, or what's going on to cause them to come here? Brilliant

Date: 2009-12-19 06:00 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
That's exactly what I'm telling you, but it gets even more involved then that. For one, those scientists I was talking about, the Malnosso, they've been implanting wings into the backs of everyone that shows up here...except for some reason they haven't done it to the new batch of people showing up, including you. It's quite odd.

Date: 2009-12-19 06:06 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] times-supertemp.livejournal.com
Wings? What for? Are they trying to make everyone into some sort of angel or something. That makes no sense.

[Sighs, then looks back towards ground]

Well, I might as well... I was just in a strange domed city a few moments ago. Before I showed up here. Who knows when I'm going back.

You were saying that a housemate jumped through....[Points to glass]

[Time Lord sense goes bing bing bing!]

The odd feeling that something's happened before? I believe humans call it deja vu. It's a lovely term. Did you know that it literally means 'already seen'? It's such a simple term for a complex feeling.

Date: 2009-12-19 05:56 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
I know what it's called, and what it means. But it certainly is a strange feeling because I can't quite remember why all of this is so familiar.

Date: 2009-12-19 06:05 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] doctor-scarf.livejournal.com
Well, let's figure it out then! If we narrow the bizarre feeling down to various little catalysts, then we can figure out what's weird. Tell me what happened in your life. That's a good starting point, don't you think? Yes, it's a good starting point indeed...

[He trailed off, obviously thinking to himself.]

But yes. Let's do this!

From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
[You know, he reminds her of a certain someone.]

Well, if you want to hear about my life, I suppose I should start from the fact that I was created from a progenation machine on the planet Messaline. Let me see, the date was 60120724 if you go by the new byzantine calender. Though I'd imagine you wouldn't know anything about those things. Other then dad, I haven't run into anybody who's familiar with all that yet.

Date: 2009-12-19 06:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] doctor-scarf.livejournal.com
[Gee, really? I couldn't imagine why.]

The New Byzantine Calender? Oh, I know that! Granted, I've only heard of it, as a surprising amount of the universe uses the Gregorian calender still-can you believe that? And a progenation machine...that's another thing that I've only heard about. How does it work?

Date: 2009-12-19 06:25 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
[She'll figure it out eventually.]

Quite simply, it takes a skin sample and grows a new person based off of that sample. It also implants knowledge and makes us grow quite quickly. It only takes a few seconds really.

[Especially since Captain Oblivious here will probably say something completely stupid and Doctor-ish.]

Fascinating...when is this developed? It definitely has to be past the 20th century in whenever you are from.

Date: 2009-12-19 06:31 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com
[Of course he will. It's the Doctor.]

Not sure when the technology was developed, but I'm from the early 61st century.

I wouldn't dismiss it. Déjà vu can be quite significant for a Time Lord. [his voice is friendly, but his gaze is a bit wary]

What? How do you know that?

You weren't born on Gallifrey, then?

Date: 2009-12-20 02:44 pm (UTC)

No, I was born on Messaline.
