[Jenny's outside sitting in the closes tree to house 36, and for the first time, people can spot her actually...reading a book? Well, it's not her usual activity, but hey, it doesn't mean she doesn't do it sometimes. Anyway, she looks pretty interested in what she's reading, the big question is, what book is it that's managed to catch this perky soldier's eye? Guess someone is just going to have to find out.]

What are you
reading..getting some new information on?no subject
Earth's history. Or atleast some of it.
no subject
You say 'Earth' like you're not..from it?
no subject
That's because I'm not.
no subject
[Vampires, witches, gods. She could handle those. Aliens? Give her time.]
You don't look, y'know, all 'E.T, Phone home'!
no subject
[Well, she's not familiar with that term, but hey, she can figure out what the girl is trying to say.]
But, just because I'm not from Earth doesn't mean I'll look any different. A little different biology and abilities perhaps, but other then that, there's a whole universe out there. Both humans and other races as well.
no subject
Different abilities? Huh. Well, by that definition...E.T.? Extra-terrestrial? It's a movie? I guess they probably don't have Earth movies on...not-Earth.
Where are you from?

no subject
Been on, uh, Earth long? This place is still Earth, right?
no subject
This place is called Luceti, actually. Hard to say whether it's on Earth or not, but my dad didn't seem to think so and I'm sure he'd know. I've been here for almost a year now though.
no subject
Should I expect a year here, too?I just figured this was some sort of...alternate dimension. Like, I side-stepped or something and ended up here. Never really thought another planet could be possible. I'm not really science-girl.

[As she talks, Jenny pulls a knife off her belt and starts playing with it. Skillfully twirling the blade between her fingers.]
no subject
Aah, err, sorry. Y'know, someone brings out a pointy sharp thing, I get ready to kick their butts. Sort of a gut instinct thing.
no subject
No worries. Though I'm sorry about my habit. Didn't mean to put you on guard.
no subject
[She looks perplexed, but responds by taking a wooden stake out of her back pocket.]
My weapon of choice. Believe me, it's more effective than it looks.
no subject
So, it's good to see another fighter about. We should have some sort of spar sometime. For training purposes of course.
no subject
But I'm less a fighter and more a slay--A sparring match would be great, sometime. It's been a while since I've sparred with someone. Y'know, with someone who wasn't trying to kill me or my friends rather than just..train.no subject
Well, I can guarantee there won't be any killing on my end. I mean, I'm a fighter, not a killer. Though the no killing part of it seems to come with having a pacifist for a dad.
no subject
Fighter, killer. The line's been so blurred in my life that I can't even remember when a line was there. I'm...a something. Something called a Slayer. Destiny and prophecy and all that. Like one big fat contract that I never signed but I'm still bound by.

You mean, you weren't, you know, born? I thought you said something about a father?

And you're alright with the fact that you've been...progenated?
