I don't know for how long she was out then, but I do know we're able to slip into a corpse-like comatose state when severely injured to devote energy to the healing process. We need to figure out who or what might have done this. Jr., Cameron, do either of you know of anyone who might have had a grudge or something against Jenny? Any reason at all she might have been attacked like this? I'd have considered an animal if not for the bullets. Whoever did this is sentient and most likely humanoid. And whoever they are, somehow they're very much armed.
