046 - [Action/Written]

[Jenny is sitting on the steps of house 36, a dagger absently twirling between her fingers as she thinks silently and watches the rain come down, staying dry on the step closest to the doorway. After a moment, she picks up the journal, and begins to write in it.]

[Private to the Doctor]
Dad, I think we should have a chat before tomorrow.

[Private to Jr.]
Could you meet me by the lake around midnight?

So you didn't volunteer, then? I wonder why they even bothered asking.

Of course I didn't. I have no interest in fighting their war. Though the Malnosso never were good at taking no for an answer.

Hm. [He glances at her sidelong, a small smile on his face.] I did. Not that I have any interest in there war, but they can give me something I want.

Oh, that. What exactly are you trying to get?

[identity profile] captain-in-you.livejournal.com 2010-03-15 11:04 am (UTC)(link)
Something for your dad, actually. His sonic screwdriver. Was kinda hoping for the TARDIS, but it seems that might be too much for them.

They said they would give you his sonic screwdriver?

[identity profile] captain-in-you.livejournal.com 2010-03-15 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what they said, yeah. Not sure if I should trust them, but... other people got what they asked for.

I'll believe it when I see it. The Malnosso don't exactly have a good track record. They're good at saying one thing and finding some sort of loophole.

[identity profile] captain-in-you.livejournal.com 2010-03-16 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
You've been around much longer than I have. Do you think they'll give it back?

[identity profile] mydadsthedoctor.livejournal.com 2010-03-16 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
Not really, no. Or if they do give it back, it probably won't be permanently. There's always a catch to their promises. I've been here for almost two years now, and they still haven't managed to really keep their promises in the ways you'd like them to.

[identity profile] captain-in-you.livejournal.com 2010-03-17 08:28 am (UTC)(link)
...I probably shouldn't have told him I was getting it back, then. [He sighs and rubs his hand over his face.] He was so happy, too.
